Digestion Tea - Peppermint tea for healthy digestion (and for your upset stomach)

Ready for the simplest and possibly the most effective upset stomach remedy?

  • Do you need have gas after your meal and you need something to help?
  • Do you feel like popping a Tums, Elax, GasEx or other product after you eat?
  • Do you have a stomach ache and need something beside Pepto-Bismol to settle it?
  • Do you feel like you're about to throw up, and need relief from nausea?

If you do now (you probably wouldn't be reading this), or when you do again, you'll know you can have a Peppermint tea!

If you go out to eat once in a while, notice that there are peppermints waiting for you to suck on after the meal, or they come with the check. They are there to settle your stomach as well as make your breath smell good after you've eaten.

How to make Peppermint Tea:

  1. Boil some water
  2. Put in one or two peppermint tea bags into a tea cup
  3. Pour the water in your cup
  4. Let it steep (let the water absorb what's in the tea bag) for 15-20 minutes covered
  5. Enjoy!

So far this probably sounds really basic to you, herbal medicine is really this simple. I want to emphasize step 4. Many people start drinking their tea within a couple minutes. No, wait 15-20 minutes, otherwise you are just drinking flavored water.

Think about it, we have covered four important herbal remedies so far! This may seem extremely basic, but it is four more herbs that you didn't know about two days ago, right?

Chamomile

We're going to use chamomile again tomorrow, but I just wanted to add here that chamomile is another important digestive aid. It is also useful for many of the symptoms listed above. You can drink a tea with a bag of peppermint and a bag of chamomile when you have digestive issues after a really heavy meal, or if you have a lot of stomach gas.
