This is a great tool to learn herbal medicine

This course was originally put out by John Gallagher, L.Ac., CCH of LearningHerbs.com.. I thought it was really interesting, so I editted it and am passing it along for your benefit as well.

It is amazing at how many herbal substances you can make from common items you can get at the grocery store.

Since we just scratched the surface of the various possibilities, the video below gives an overview of some additional items you can look into getting if you would like.

I cannot remember if I sent this information already or not but I was told about using grated potato for a sprained ankle. You just put the grated potato on your sprained joint and wrap the whole mess with plastic to keep the potato from staining everything and leave on for 30 minuets to take the inflamation out of the wound. It works because I have tried this and it works wonders.

Of course, we scratched the surface, your spice rack contains many more herbal remedies. Thyme for coughs, oregano for upset stomachs, or turmeric for its antiseptic qualities, and others.
